Prep Center Software Fixes That Remove Daily Snags
Small problems add up in a prep center. A box list in the wrong order, a print queue that stalls, a product that shows up as a bare SKU. None of these stops the day on its own, but each one costs your team a few minutes and some trust in the system.
This round of PrepBusiness updates goes after those problems. Here is what changed between September 25 and October 2, 2026, and why it matters on the warehouse floor.
Why Small Fixes Matter in a Prep Center
Your prep center software sits between your staff, your clients and Amazon. When a screen is confusing or a job fails without a clear reason, someone has to stop, investigate and often message a client. That time rarely gets billed.
Reliable software means fewer of those interruptions. It also means your clients see accurate inventory and shipment information without having to ask you for it.
Smoother FBA Shipment Work
FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) shipments are where small mistakes cost the most, so several fixes land here.
- Boxes sorted by number: When you enter FBA tracking numbers, shipment boxes now appear in box number order. That makes it easier to match each tracking number to the right box.
- Status updates for new shipment plans: We fixed an issue where new FBA shipment plans sometimes did not receive status updates from Amazon.
- Clear errors instead of generic failures: Amazon asks you to choose a placement option, which decides where your shipment is sent. If an FBA shipment is missing one, PrepBusiness now shows a clear error instead of a generic failure, so your team knows what to fix.

Inventory That Stays Accurate
Accurate inventory is what clients judge you on. These changes keep product records cleaner.
- Real product names: Items that were showing only their SKU (the seller’s stock code) as a name now pick up the product title from Amazon.
- Deleted products are labeled: Deleted products now show a “deleted” badge in inventory, so nobody mistakes them for active stock.
- Cleaner outbound copies: Copying an inbound shipment to a new outbound shipment no longer includes unsellable units.
- French-language listing imports: Amazon listing imports from French-language reports were reading the wrong product ID. That is fixed.
More Dependable Day-to-Day Tools
Some of the most useful fixes are in tools your team uses every day.
- Label printing through QZ Tray: Printing through QZ Tray is more reliable when several print jobs are queued at once.
- Pull Listing Data: This tool matches your inventory items to Amazon listings and copies listing details across in bulk. Its lookups are now more reliable. Learn more in Pull Listing Data to Fix Unsynced Listings.
- PDF exports: PDF exports no longer hang when your company logo is slow to load.
What This Means for Your Team
None of these changes asks your staff to learn a new process. They work the way they did before, with fewer stalls, fewer confusing errors and fewer records to correct by hand.
For a prep center owner, that means less time spent chasing problems and more confidence when clients look at their inventory and shipments.
